1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using theinterculturalexchange.com (the "Site"), or by attending or applying to participate in any event organized under The Intercultural Exchange™ name, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site immediately. These Terms apply to all visitors, applicants, speakers, audience members, and others who access the Site or participate in any associated event.

2. Ownership & Intellectual Property

The Intercultural Exchange™ — including its name, the event series concept, the event format (featured storytellers, the Passion Share segment, the intercultural theme structure), and all associated branding, copy, and materials appearing on this Site — is the exclusive intellectual property of John Edward McGraw, produced in connection with Hiyaku Coaching™. All rights reserved.

The following are protected under common-law trademark and copyright:

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, imitate, or commercialize any of the above — including the event name, format, or concept — without express written permission from John Edward McGraw.

3. Speaker Stories & Submitted Content

Speakers who apply to and perform at The Intercultural Exchange™ retain ownership of their personal stories. By submitting a speaker application, applicants grant The Intercultural Exchange™ a limited, non-exclusive right to use their submitted story summary, biography, and name for the purpose of event promotion and community-building, solely if they are selected and confirm their participation.

Speakers who perform at an event grant consent (documented separately through the speaker onboarding process) for their performance to be recorded, edited, and used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, the website, and the YouTube channel associated with The Intercultural Exchange™. Speakers retain the right to withdraw future use of recordings by written request.

Content submitted through forms on this Site (story summaries, bios, availability responses) is used solely for applicant evaluation and event coordination and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Permitted Use

You may access and view this Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links to pages on this Site. You may quote brief excerpts (not to exceed 50 words) from page content for commentary or educational purposes, provided you clearly attribute the source as theinterculturalexchange.com.

Tickets for The Intercultural Exchange™ events are sold through Eventbrite. Ticket purchases are subject to Eventbrite's own terms of service and refund policies. John Edward McGraw and The Intercultural Exchange™ are not responsible for Eventbrite's platform, policies, or payment processing.

The Intercultural Exchange™ reserves the right to change event dates, venues, lineups, or formats due to circumstances beyond its control, including venue availability, speaker cancellations, or emergency situations. In the event of a cancellation initiated by the organizer, ticket holders will be notified and refunds processed through Eventbrite.

Attendance at events constitutes consent to being photographed or recorded in an audience capacity. Such materials may be used for event documentation and promotion.

7. Related Properties

The Intercultural Exchange™ is owned, created, and produced by John Edward McGraw, operating in connection with Hiyaku Coaching™. This Site is a companion property to johnedwardmcgraw.com, the personal and professional website of John Edward McGraw. The intellectual property protections described in the Terms of Use of johnedwardmcgraw.com — including protections for the LEAP™, SPEAK™, and SHAPE™ frameworks — apply equally to content, frameworks, and materials that may appear across both sites.

This Site links to or embeds third-party services including Eventbrite (ticketing), MailerLite (newsletter), Google (form processing), and Netlify (hosting). These are provided for convenience and functionality only. John Edward McGraw is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party platform. Links and integrations do not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

This Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. John Edward McGraw does not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
